Nominations & Elections Chair: Jack Carello 


Chapter 29 is very pleased to announce our Annual Scholarship Award.   This year’s award will be presented at the Annual Spring Educational Seminar being held at the Vintage Hotels in old Niagara-on-the-Lake which is scheduled for Friday April 26th, 2019.   This scholarship is open to graduating high school students residing in the Province of Ontario and who are entering a full time course of study in any of the various fields impacting the right of way profession.  Areas of study may include (but not limited to) land or property management, law, surveying, planning, real property appraisal, civil engineering, and or environmental studies.  The amount of the scholarship will be $2,000.00 which can be awarded to 1 successful applicant or, in the event there is more than one suitable applicant, the award may be split evenly. 

Applications for the Scholarship will be managed by Chapter 29 Nominations and Elections Committee and are due by April 12th, 2019.   We encourage you to pass this information along to your fellow workers and family and friends.  The PDF application form can be downloaded here, please contact  Jack Carello, SR/WA for further information. 


Our Chapter is headed by an Executive Board and Committees made up of dedicated members of the Chapter who bring to you courses, luncheons, seminars, along with the chance to Network.

Each year at the Annual General Meeting of the Members, the Chapter conducts its business which involves the nominations and elections for the Executive Board.  The Chapter is always looking for interested people who wish to offer some of their time, expertise and new ideas to sit on the Board or assist with a Committee.  The IRWA is a non-profit organization and the positions are all on a volunteer basis.  

If you wish to nominate an individual or are interested yourself in one or any of these leadership roles or serving on a sub-committee, or would simply like to help out where needed, we would like to hear from you.  Please send an e-mail with your nomination or expressed interest, or for further information on a particular role contact myself or an existing chapter committee member listed below.

This year's election and appointments will be held at the Annual General Meeting during the Spring Education Seminar in May/June 2019 in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
