Luncheon: Hurontario LRT

November 20, 2019. Mississauga, ON. Luncheon: Hurontario LRT, with guest speaker TIm Lai, Manager of Stakeholder Communications. Description: The Hurontario Light Rail Transit (LRT) Project is a provincially-owned system and that will bring fast and reliable rapid transit to the cities of Mississauga and Brampton along the Hurontario corridor. Hurontario LRT will provide 18 km of rapid transit with 19 stops on a dedicated right-of-way and will link to GO Stations at Port Credit and Cooksville, the Mississauga Transitway, Square One GO Bus Terminal, Brampton Gateway Terminal, and key MiWay and Brampton Transit routes. It will primarily have a centre-running alignment with at least two vehicular lanes on both sides, cycle tracks and sidewalk, or multi-use trails, with the goal of creating a complete street.
